We specializes in a number of well-known therapeutic techniques, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine are just some of the modalities we have available. We will recommend specific techniques depending on your needs, and of course feel free to inquire more about all that we can offer.
Acupuncture stimulates a regulatory system affecting the body; it works closely with such systems as the nervous, hormonal, and biochemical systems. The regulatory system is comprised of predictable pathways and points, which have a higher electrical conductivity than the surrounding tissues. When these points are stimulated, they send an electrical signal through the pathways intensifying the healing process and decreasing pain.
Acupuncture treatment consists of carefully inserting hair-thin, disposable needles into the skin. Because the needles are thin, the sensation is generally mild. In fact, nearly all patients experience a significant level of relaxation and may even fall asleep during treatment!
Following an acupuncture treatment many patients feel a heightened sense of well being, which may last for hours to several days.
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are forms of treatment that
have been utilized as a primary form of medical care in Asia for many
centuries. Acupuncture and Herbs have been around for more than
2,500 years!
Chinese medical diagnosis uses diagnostic techniques of pulse and tongue reading as well as analysis of signs and symptoms relayed to us from the patient regarding their systemic health. All of this information allows us to determine the proper treatment approach as well as the priorities of the treatment and the general goals of care.
